Tiens ? J'ai un blog, moi ? Ca tombe bien, j'avais quelques images à montrer. Bonne année tout d'abord, avec pas mal de retard. L'image du jour est un (ou deux) portrait(s) du guitariste américain Tommy Shaw, membre éminent du groupe de rock Styx. Je vous parle là d'un temps que les moins de vingt ans ne peuvent pas connaître, une époque où le navire de Styx voguait fièrement sur le fleuve dont il a été tiré, mêlant son hard rock a des influences très progressives et jazzy.
Conseillé par le très adorable Dr. Music, j'ai donc réalisé le portrait de ce musicien en commençant tout d'abord par une phase plutôt "caricature", j'avais du mal à bien cerner son visage. Puis une illustration terminée ce matin, plus réaliste quoiqu'elle pique un peu les yeux. Aussi, je vous conseille de prendre vos précautions occulaires. En outre, j'espère que ça vous plaira !

The picture of the day is one (or more) portrait of the american guitarist Tommy Shaw, from the rock band Styx! I'm talking, of course, about a band of real musicians with real instruments, who mixed their hard rock with a lot of progressive and jazz stuff. If you were about 20 years old in the seventies, I hope you will enjoy it!
On the advice of the wonderful Dr. Music, I did these portraits. I had problems with his face, don't ask me why, so I started sketches with the aim to make a caricature. Then I finally realized a more realistic portrait, at the end of this post. I hope you will like these pieces of work.
